I'm Jake, a data scientist with the US Census Bureau.
I work end-to-end with business surveys to create data visualization tools. These tools range from actionable visualizations to help inform Census leadership's decision-making to public-facing dashboards that will be published on the Census website. This work is on a contract through Reveal Global Consulting as a continuation of the Civic Digital Fellowship program.Â
My prior work includes business analytics at Forever, a memory-keeping start-up based in Pittsburgh, and research in statistics and economics. I contributed to extensions of a causal inference paper with Tyler McCormick at the University of Washington and co-authored a paper on game theory with Giri Parameswaran at Haverford College.
In my free time, I love biking up the hills of Pittsburgh, talking about how I wish it was winter, and playing ultimate frisbee.
